Yeah that's how we got the bolt out of that one we pulled out of a salvage yard. At least it shouldn't be as hard to put it all back together.

See that bolt? It won't budge. We took out the sub-frame with the linkage still in it and then we tried using my neighbor's 20ton press to push it out, but it just bent...

You could probably solder in a switch between the fuse and battery. Tuck it up somewhere you can reach but others won't find. I don't think taking the fuse in and out will do much damage other than...
