Re: Can you refurb an exhaust system?

Sand off the surface rust, have a shop repair the hole and re paint system.

There, now get to it already.

Re: Cold Air?

Short ram. I doubt the hp gain or loss is noticeable anyways. Better off having no chance of hydrolock than +1 hp.

Re: Do automatic engine/tranny swaps exist?

Get an accord. Most of them came auto.

IMO stick > auto, better gas mileage and its more safe to drive. Also teaches a person to actually DRIVE a car, not just P to stop and D to drive. 90% of...

Re: 93 sol chugging fuel

I think that could be possible with the 1.5 and very conservative driving.

Maybe not 550 but somewhere in the low 400's.

With the D16Z6 I'm getting about 300 per tank with conservative driving,...

Re: !!!stolen 1994 civic ex 2door teal green!!! Temecula CA

Sorry to hear that bro. I hate it when people steal parts or even entire cars. I remember back in college living in a shady ass apt area and some people were jocking my car late at night. Luckily my...

Re: 94 civic gsr swap, need help

I'd rather rebuild 2 engines than rebuild a damn transmission. Too many little things that can get f'd up and you're out a trans.

Re: #@!D16 Rebuild!@#

Unless you got deep pockets boost is the cheaper and more cost efficient way to go.

N/A on a single cam isn't worth it.

Re: gas gauge not function properly

Maybe a gas leak...or maybe you didn't realize that Civic SI's don't get stellar gas mileage.

Re: B20v??????

^SEARCH BUTTON.

And it seems like you don't know much about engine building so I wouldn't suggest turbo OR a vtec head on your B20. There's too much stuff that can go wrong.

If you want vtec...

Re: 99 si trade for 92 cx hatch, good trade or no?

Anybody miss the part where the EM1 was misfiring on cylinder 3?

And IMO Si's aren't worth that much anyways, unless they are stock. My buddy wanted like $8,000 for his original owner all...

Re: 94 Del Slo B20VTEC build thread [PICS]

Another Idea I personally had was making a cut out and putting the gauges where the radio is.

That way when you're not driving her you can close it up so nobody can see them.

but then again...

Re: Is a 2000 Honda Civic Si Too Much Power?

Si's are pretty easy to drive. No torque down low, makes for a boring ride but it shouldn't be too much for noobies.

When I started off driving I drove my friends 2000 SI around a lot, got used to...

Re: Problem shifting in a 94 Del Sol

Well I've been driving it for the past few days, and it does shift a little better now.

But the hesitation getting it into gear on a dead stop is still there. But if I keep pushing the shifter...

Re: Easily increase WHP for a D16

Sell me your Z6 for cheep then. I'll make good use of it :P

And IMO the Z6 is the best single cam motor mated to the best single cam transmission...besides the D15B Vtec which is a whole different...

Re: Springs or coilovers?

Shock and springs. Unless you're tracking it, I don't recommend coilovers.

A buddy of mine had coils, and he took them off because it was too bumpy.

Re: Problem shifting in a 94 Del Sol

I was thinking that, but then again brake fluid freezes at -40F, and it's nowhere near that here. It was around 30-40 degrees when I last rode in my Del Sol and I had this problem.

However, the...

Re: Easily increase WHP for a D16

OP asked what were some easy ways to increase horsepower on a D16.

I just mentioned that I/H/E are easy because all you do is loosen bolts, tighten bolts, break some and cuss along the way. It's...

Re: Problem shifting in a 94 Del Sol

Car has never slipped once. The transmission seems to be fine though, it shifts like butter w/o grinding ever into any gear.

It's just when you first start the car, you can't shift it into any...
