Sorry for thread jacking, but I figured something like troubleshooting a heater issue would be the same but with different methods of actually doing each process.

I have the right level of coolant in the radiator and reserve, and the thermostat came out in one piece, just one very long, very stuck-open piece. I'm really stumped on this one.

I'm having the same exact problem with my '02 Si. My heater control valve works fine, I had the thermostat replaced, I bled the system of air, and I still don't have heat until about 4,000 RPM. ...
