FS - OR/WA - 1994 Civic VX (50+mpg)

Selling my beloved 1994 VX. This is the "special edition" fuel economy model, and it has gotten me an average of 54.7 mpg over the last 10 tanks. I have logged all mileage over the past 8 years at...

Re: $The Value Thread$ What's It Worth? Should I Buy? What's the Cost?

Looking to sell my 1994 VX, but not sure how to price it. It has 254k miles, and runs great... I've replaced the head gasket, timing belt, water pump, starter, rear hub, front rotors/pads, added an...

Re: '95 Civic auto trans /d15z1 with p06-1 ecu. And it runs

But is there a P07 auto ECU?

Is this a stock US D15Z1, or the JDM/EDM equivalent?

Re: Del Sol stance advice.

Keep in mind that the less expensive lawn edging from Lowe's is about 5" wide, and will scrape pretty easily. So once you're all stanced and whatnot, you might need to make your front lip out of the...

EH1 rear wheel bearing - how free?

When I place my new rear hub/bearing assembly on the spindle, it spins freely No tire). When torquing it down, it develops more and more resistance. Am I overthinking this, or should it still spin...

Re: 225,000 miles too many for Head Gasket?

Also available in may colors, which enhances efficiency, right?

One downside is they're more permeable than rubber hoses, which means you may need to top off your antifreeze from time to time. ...

Re: 1992 1.5L sohc burns ALLOT of oil

Just curious, how much oil did you put in at the time of the oil change? I wasn't quite sure what you meant by "a tank and a half."

Re: 95 EJ1 has a D15Z1 not D16Z6 and it has issues

One will be open just enough to prevent pooling... but this looks like a bit more than that.

Re: Distributor Timing Maxed (solved)

Yup, gotta be dead cold.

Estacada, huh? You're in my neck of the woods. If you're ever in Clackamas, look for a peeling teal hatchback. You'll probably pass me.

re: New owner to a 92 Civic VX - please recommend links for vx knowledge

EcoModder is a really good site, and they have a lot of VX enthusiasts.

Also check out the forums at fuelly.com... it used to be very VX-focused, so there are a lot of good historical posts. It's...

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

Didn't really "do" anything, but had a new best tank on the VX.

10-tank average is just over 55. I credit the mpguino.

Re: $For Sale/Want to Buy$ - 92-00 Civic/Del Sol Parts Only (NO COMMENTS ALLOWED)

Stock rear diffuser for a VX? Would love to find one... I've passed up a few in the past because I didn't realize how much they go for.

Re: 95 EJ1 has a D15Z1 not D16Z6 and it has issues

Re: 95 EJ1 has a D15Z1 not D16Z6 and it has issues

By and large, the TUV and UL (as well as CSA, CE, NOM, etc.) marks are *not* quality certification, but safety. An item bearing such a mark (tv, car part, toaster, anything) can be a total piece of...

Re: Remove the top timing belt cover without removing valve cover.

Just be very careful when tightening the valve cover bolts back on. Spec is only 7lbs, I believe. They can be trouble.

Re: 95 EJ1 has a D15Z1 not D16Z6 and it has issues

I would highly recommend having it done by a shop. Get one head job under your belt before taking on what is an "advanced" technique.

Personally, I'll always pay someone to check and mill my...
