stupid question, but have you jacked it up and tried to locate where exactly the noise is coming from? Is it only under pressure it makes the noise?

I'll triple check the nuts on the top, i finger checked them but they could just be a tad bit loose i suppose.

I've done both on my 93 celica, swapped new engine and then the headgasket went 2 years later, what a pain.

I would suggest new engine, lower miles at least 120k or less. Replace all the gaskets,...

Rattle after alignment?

There is a faint rattle coming from my passenger side rear wheel. Sounds like maybe a bad strut or something, but i don't know how that could be if i just got a brand new strut.

I went down there...

Ya, but the braket was fine, messed up stuff! Last major car repair i did on the 93 toyota celica... The head bolts stripped, and i had to drill them! Cars hate me.

It ended up having a rubber bushing in there..

We ended up heating it up so much the nut that is factory stuck to the mounting bracket, came off clean from the bracket. So we ended up buying a nut...

SENSEN e-bay stuff, fronts ride really well, and people who have them on the rear don't complain. So i don't see a problem. The bushing for the bolt is a metal sleeve anyways. On the KYB's i think...

The new strut just has metal where the bushing would sit so i'm not worried about that.. (chinese). It's just really corroded i guess 180k miles, probable never changed...

You won't want to work on a car that is rusty as hell though, trust me been there lol. If you want a beater, i would just go with a cheap whatever you can, spend around 500-800. But know it won't...

One thing i watched out for when looking for a car were body part fitments. You can tell if someone has had the car apart by looking at the front and rear bumper, dust covers, wheel wells etc....

Yeah... Just not looking forward to drilling it out and break drill bits...

Anyone know the part number? Hopefully honda has it in stock how nice would that be.

I torched it, but it still wouldn't spin...

I think the chinese strut i have has the bushing in it already, or it's just metal instead of the bushing no sleeve.

NEVER had this kind of problem...

I got a huge air impact on the bolt for the rear struts, the bottom one. And i still can't get it out, used PB blaster, Red iodine. Bent a pry bar, almost broke it some how.

Your strut could be bad and that could be the noise of the spring doing more motion then it is generally meant to do. Try pushing down on it and pushing down on the opposite side and see if there is...
