Re: opinions on cv joint replacement

That's very good info...thank you. And yes, my car is auto. I think I will have to do just that and replace both sides, as it is not too expensive. Not to beat a dead horse, but my car is not only...

Re: opinions on cv joint replacement

good pic...and I understand better what you were saying. My 92 axle does not bolt into the block though. The setup looks a bit different. My axle has an inboard and outboard joint, and is only held...

Re: Messy stearing: Bad control arm bushings, what's the best way to go?

I just replaced my LCA's with cheap parts from rock auto...the bushings themselves seem a little softer than I would like. I am looking at buying Moog from here on, and there are lots of places that...

Re: d4 light dims when accellerating, and not your typical TCM issue

Re: starting problem i haven't seen before

ok. that seems more normal to me the way you describe it. I was assuming when you pressed the gas down hard it tried to stall upon pressing. The way you describe it seems more like a throttle...

Re: bad new lower control arm bushings?

Did u install the entire LCA or just the bushings? The LCAs i got were Dorman parts, but I also got them from rock auto parts. I'm thinking about getting some poly bushings and starting to replace...

Re: bad new lower control arm bushings?

If it IS because of the cheap quality, do you have any recommendations on any preferred bushings that I could install in my old LCA's to reinstall?

Re: bad new lower control arm bushings?

They aren't exactly "loose", but I can move my damper fork a little back and forth simply by grabbing it with my hand and tugging on it. And yes, they are torqued down now...there is just a little...

Re: 2000 Honda Accord V6 Intermittent Immediate Stall Upon Start

A bad MAP sensor can cause your car to run like poo... I have used seafoam plenty of times, and with good results so far. It is just not to be used too often, especially with high milage cars. I dont...

Re: starting problem i haven't seen before

I would take it for a few laps around the block or up and down the street to start with. Also, I would check all of your fluids to make sure everything looks normal before letting it run. It could be...

Re: starting problem i haven't seen before

the car staring up in neutral better than park is a mystery.....to me at least....sorry
As for the wetness under the muffler, it is probably water escaping the muffler through the weephole,...

bad new lower control arm bushings?

I recently replaced my lower control arms with new aftermarket ones. My bushings were cracked and worn and I thought it would be easier to buy the whole LCA's and install them rather than trying to...

Re: Should i get motor mounts from a dealer or a auto parts store

I would say it depends on exactly how bad they are, but i dnt think I would say "dangerous"...maybe "unadvisable". You can do further damage to your car (axles and such) so if it is absolutely...

Re: slams into gear when warm???

Ok...so I'm not so concerned about the speedo or tach anymore since a bad vss should set off a CEL, and the dist and ICM are new.
I am concerned about the car slamming roughly into gear though. It...

Re: Valve Adjustment Issue! Please Help!

I know its more time-consuming...but I find it easier to adjust the valve clearance on each individual valve when the lowest part of the cam lobe is at the arm. That way is fail-safe....and even if...

Re: Valve Adjustment Issue! Please Help!

I would say to keep on with the sensor replacement...knock, O2, and IACV can be the difference between a lousy ride and a smooth one. Also, since oil was all over your engine I would definitely check...
