Thanks guys, I used a mixture of running the engine a little and a rubber mallet. Came off nice and smooth.

Just really tight. The last person to do the oil on it was my buddy who is a mech at honda he would have told me if it was stripped or whatnot. Yay another tool.

I'm trying to do an oil change on my 98 ej8 and the plug is stuck I can't get it off. Any helpful tips for loosening it?

I didn't realize any extra info would help... It's a 97 Civic LX 4-door. I can see if I remove the seats I might have a chance in getting in there, and depending on how pliable the door panel is...

Did you check the window regulator/motor? I had that issue, one of the teeth on the regulator broke off.

Note to self, flip kill switch... I have a buddy of mine with a kill switch in the shift boot, may take that idea.

Yea I ordered the Solenoid when I got the Head. The ECU is for a Y8 so figuring out which wires I need shouldn't be too hard.

A EX can have a D16Y7 (mine does V.V) but not stock.
The head is a Y8.
If the block says D16Y7 then you have a mini-me since everything else is pointing to Y8.
Stock the D16Y8 pushes 127hp
