Re: Help!!! Wideband data logging

You don't have to cut anything in your harness. Depend on the ecu you're running, you'll need to just add a pin/wire into one of the plugs that go to your ecu. If you look it up, there should be...

Re: How much venting do I really need? Another catch can question...

I think the ports on the back of the block will work alright if you just put the can up as high as possible in the bay. I had mine like this, and didn't have any issues. I did notice a little oil...

Re: b18b1 piston to wall clearance question.

This was a really good answer. If you don't have the sheet, then you'll have to take your chances and have the machine shop measure them to make sure all is accurately bored/honed.

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups

I got a new set of Eagle rods for the same price from a guy. I'd shoot for $100 and make sure that the pins and bearing ends all look good.

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups

If that 9:1 CR is with the VTEC head, then you are going to have quite a bit lower with the LS head and it will suffer out of boost (if you're even going boost). To get a definite number, you'll...

Re: LST / LS-T Turbo B18A B18B setups

Are you going to be running a turbo LS or N/A LS? You need to reference the pistons that are in there and see what the compression ratio is with a stock LS head. Since the reliefs are bigger (and...

Re: Need help from a person with experience with stock LS turbo build

Turbo-LS already told you that you don't need the aftermarket rod bolts (and he's right). As long as your tune is good anyways....

And widebands aren't hard to read. Unless you think reading a...

Re: DJ 2501's 95 LST Project

So you started the car with bigger injectors and no map to account for them? Do you have a demon board in your ecu to go with the RTP? If so, you can just make your own basemap to start the car...

Re: Engine starts and then dies, doesn't hold its own idle

The car sold, but I'm still kinda in the picture with it. The guy basically refers to me with any wrenching/tuning issues, and he wants me to drive it some at the track in the future. So that's...

Re: Engine starts and then dies, doesn't hold its own idle

Muckman and Turbo-LS probably have this one pegged. It's because of the aftermarket cams. They probably need the throttle plate adjusted if you can't get enough air in through the idle screw. I...

Re: Help D16z6 Eagle/Rods bearings still tight WTF>...

I'm with Muckman. Just have them honed out to the spec that you need. The looser end of stock specs should do you just fine unless you're needing something for major horsepower.

Re: Help D16z6 Eagle/Rods bearings still tight WTF>...

Yes, they can open up your rod ends with a hone and have it sized properly. If you don't have the tools to do the measurements correctly, just take everything to them and hopefully they won't screw...

Re: Semi built D16y8 runs hot... Need advice

Do you have any water wetter in the system? That will typically drop a couple of degrees also.

Re: turbo oil leak into intake piping

Need better pictures to show the angle of the center cartridge. It's hard to tell with those at the angle. Get some shots from standing in front of the engine bay looking down/forward. That way...

Re: Synthetic Oil Fill, possibly cause more "warm up" smoke my motor makes?

You may have some leaky valve stem seals like you has brought up before. It's really hard to tell what you might have going on without the PTW clearances and bore size too.
Sorry it's harder to...

Re: Synthetic Oil Fill, possibly cause more "warm up" smoke my motor makes?

You'll probably have to list what you're clearances are to get the best answer. Also, where do you live? Why would you need a 0W? If anything, it sounds like you need a higher cold viscosity. ...

Re: My B18C1 Engine Build/Assembly

On the side note, didn't you crush an AEM dryflow filter previously? Didn't it collapse? Or am I just confusing some things?
