Good to know! Curious question. Did your mode control motor quit out of the blue? Mine died after fiddling with the butchered radio harness I inherited from the previous owner(s) handy work.

And just to add, be careful when testing the motor. There is not a lot of room in there to do the test. I had a pigtail from a junkyard Civic to test mine.

Just buy crafting foam instead of doing it this way. Trace out the pattern of the old gasket and install.

I happen to own a Canadian built hatchback with no carpet in it at the moment. From when I had the side panels off and from what I can see, the bracing has more than just three bolts holding it on...

For me, the majority of the front water intrusion came from the top-right of the front bulkhead. You could see the flow of water after removing the dash.
