Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 3

Here's a quick shot of my ride as it stands so far. This last month I recently did quite a bit of mechanical work to keep her up to speed. I had to repair/replace the exhaust from the downpipe...

Re: 1999 Civic LX Dying / Stalling

Did you replace the ignition switch?

It is located along side the steering column. I don't know with an engine change if they would perform the replacement under warranty at this stage. To do it...

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 3

Most everything is original (Interior, Engine, Suspension, etc.). I've just been going through it mechanically to keep it reliable. The exhaust is still factory, but has some rattles inside. It is...

Re: 1999 Civic DX Randomly dies at cruising speed!

You might want to look into the ignition switch. I had a similar problem and the ignition switch was the issue. Check this thread out.

Re: 99 Civic LX Sedan Coolant Flush / Change

That's what I'm figuring. Since it was a complete change I'll run it like this for a while. My gen civic came with the older type coolant that has low silicate in them anyway. I figure this...

99 Civic LX Sedan Coolant Flush / Change

I had my car in to get some things looked at and there was some miscommunication with what I wanted checked and done. Long story short they ended up doing a coolant flush which I had planned on...

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 3

Ditto.

When my Civic hits 1/2 tank I'm looking for a station. I rarely get below a 1/4 just because I don't want to be stuck in traffic or something and be low on fuel. Plus being 16 yrs old...I...

Re: SEARS DMM FOR 9.99

How did you find the Lowe's deal? That price was crazy low for a $299 tool kit.

Deals don't last.....

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2

I was wondering if I could get some opinions or possibly close-up photos from someone that has added an M3 style lip/spoiler on their 6th gen trunk lid.

My sedan is a '99 and I kinda like the look...

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2

I got the splash guards in today. I went out and dry fit them to see if they were correct and they fit the contours perfect plus the holes all matched up.

They were brand new in plastic wrap, but...

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2

I appreciate the help Battle. I knew that the fronts were the same and could be used across the years, but I knew the rears for the 99-00 sedans were different. I've never seen them in person to be...

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2

Yeah, I wanted the 45 series tires, but they were pricier and had less tire/brand choices. Since I was buying tires and wheels at the same time...I wanted to keep the budget in line.

I previously...

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2

No it is stock civic springs. The wheels lifted it a bit. It had the factory 14" steels on it with 195/65/14 tires.

These are 16x7 wheels, 40 offset, with 205/50/16 tires. I didn't want to...

Re: 1999 Civic LX Dying / Stalling

Someone asked so I thought I'd post a follow up that I should have already done.

It's been almost 7 months with no issues of stalling or dying since the ignition repair. Problem gone.
