oh and no, not og paint. had new quarters welded in. paint was new formula red. same as nsx.
and fogs were oe stanley. just not the traditional ef8/9 dealies

hah! just came across this thread. little late i suppose! lol. funny thing is i actually ended up finding some rnr's for dirt cheap. then traded those for a set of m5's. both sets 15". shortly after...

won't usually cause a high idle though. easy enough to cancel out. op, just disconnect the o2 and see if it makes any difference

ok. and it shoots back up to 1500 rpm with it connected?
if so, check your iacv connector carefully. look closely at the pins. inspect the iacv wiring to the ecm. if it all looks good, try another...

i know it's a high comp b20b. it's a p75 cast head. same cast as an ls.
and you can make a cavalier intake manifold fit it too...with modification :P

i don't really agree with that write up. the idle should not drop by 100rpm. it should sit at 500 rpm, roughly.

to answer your question, it's because your civ is obd2. teg is obd1. huge...

it was probably the vacuum hose you had disconnected. after plugging it, you were able to set idle properly.

not sure what the "diy" is you're speaking of, but it sounds wrong. factory spec is approx. 500rpm/ iacv disconnected. iacv connected, should rise back up to 750 approx.

well an obd1 ecm is gonna look for the 4 wire o2. otherwise, it'll throw a code. so their tune may be open loop. you won't get as good mileage if so. i would find out exactly what tune it is. and ask...

you can't fit a pr3(itr/b16) cast mani on a p75 (ls/crv) cast head. for some reason, thought you had a b20v

if that hose sees engine vacuum, it should not be hooked up to the VC nipple. the VC nipple hose is supposed to pull ported (before the throttle plate) vacuum from the air cleaner boot.

if it died with the iacv disconnected, you need to adjust the idle higher and try again. once you have the idle adjusted to where it will run with the iacv disconnected, adjust idle to 500rpm (w/iacv...
