^^ what he said. Your tuner didn't finish tuning the idle, warm up, etc tables. Most people don't want to pay for the additional tuning time to do this so it gets left as-is :/

OBD1 ECU's will not display OBD2 readiness codes nor communicate via an OBD2 port. You are basically stuck with finding an OBD2 ECU that will run your engine well enough to smog.

As long as you spray enough fuel, then the pistons don't matter much. Your problem is going to be if you run lean - It will heat the piston very quick and score the cylinders and possibly break ring...

I'd recommend against going with a reflash with the 50 degree gear. You are basically stuck with the reflash settings even if they aren't ideal for your setup. KTuner End User with the replacement...
