hoppy1968 if you haven't fixed ur problem yet, try changing the o2 sensor
thanh20 with the jumper wire installed it is running in dianogastic mode and the timing will change, try adjusting it...

so let me this get right:
You changed the gaskets in the intake manifold and that lowered your idle but it still surges but with the IACV unplugged its fine
and the MAP VREF varies with the surge...

have you checked the coolant level, if its low u could get a false reading and when you accelerate the coolant flows over the sensor and show the actual temp, if the car is not warm the redline will...

the black plug by ur feul line is the egr valve, the square plug goes there but youhave to use the plug off the accord or just use the old valve either way works
the green plug is the temp sensor...

once you make grooves in the screw heads you can unscrew it with a flathead screw driver and just replace them with 10mm bolts

I'm having the same problem with my car, only it has a H22A. Seems like we have been trying the same fixes. My idle goes up to about 2K and drops back to 900.
