I've been wondering about a rear lip too, i've heard that the 90-91 Si had a rear lip molded to the bumper but i can't tell. I want one on mine too.

they should they are both d series motors. I know the alt. will & the a/c brackets mount to the same points for both types of compressors (mitsuba & sanden)

as far as the pistons go, we've had several motors come through our shop with broken timing belts and usually when the valves contact the pistons they leave a small mark but nothing major....

Yea dude check those codes & start with the simplest/cheapest things & go from there. i.e. check sensors to make sure they're good & replace that fuel filter :thumbup:
