Re: 1983 Civic DX 1500 5-Speed

That is great. I may just have to try some different glass outfits.

Re: 1983 Civic DX 1500 5-Speed

I have looked forever for the windshield trim. There is some info on the 1stgencivic site but it not for a "direct fit" weather strip. You would have to piece it together.

All the glass places...

Re: My Gen II Civics...

Nice collection! It never hurts to have parts cars laying around.

The 2nd gens rarely show up in pick a parts these days. At least in Houston where live.

I do not believe the 84-86 transmission will fit. You might have better luck swapping to a 5 speed transmission from any 80-83.

There is a place on the UK that has something close but you have...

Re: 1987 Civic Hatchback Headlight Switch Mod?

Yeah, try owning a 2nd gen civic. None of the switches work even from the junk yard.

I recently bought a 4th gen light switch / WS wiper switch to adapt to the 2nd gen.

I would recommend...

Re: 82 accord ek1 wont turn off

Contacts in the ignition switch may have melted together. You may need a new switch.

Ge a wiring diagram and check the switch for proper function. GL

Re: EK1 Vaccum line simplify

At the end of the day, all you may need is the vacuum advance for the distributor and the power brake booster line.

You may want to hang on to the evaporative emmisions canister. I am not sure...

The 1300 is still running and is a DD for my son. I rebuilt it 4-2011 but had to use the...

Re: 83 Civic engine swap possibilities

Thanks for the updates, I checked part numbers and the exhaust manifolds are the same for the 1300 and 1500. However the intake has a different P/N. The intake gasket is the same.

Also, there is...

Re: 83 Civic engine swap possibilities

I checked several 86-89 Accords and the mounts are similar but not right on. Also the alternator and intake look like they won't fit the second gen engine bay.

I went to plan B and bought a junk...

Re: 83 Civic engine swap possibilities

Thanks for the responses. I need to go to the junkyard and check out the motor mounts on the 3 gen Accord. The belt side looks very similar.

Re: Im About to Buy a 93' Prelude, need help!!

Not sure where you live, but here in Houston TX you can find 4th gen seats all day in craigslist and junkyards. The 4th gen seats are very durable and finding good ones is easy.
