Ok, got the answer. The trans guy checked EVERYTHING (really a great guy), then took the beast apart. Turns out the valve body was slightly warped, or the case casting was not formed quite right. He...

Just what it says. It's straight and has good (white) original paint. Comes with hinges. It does have the ds tape strip on the top edge, from a spoiler??? I don't know.
I bought it thinking it would...

You are probably right. I am hoping someone out there has an idea what the specific issue is so I can help the rebuilder. He is a good guy and is going to fix it, but I sure would like to get an idea...

Hard to imagine a s2000 with a couple hundred extra pounds on the front handling any good. Plenty of straight line, but if you want that why not just by a Mustang? S2000 looks are sweet...
