I never did hear back from JTC about this issue, but it doesn't bother me, since I had it welded back on it has not failed, this has been over a year and I suspect it won't fail in normal operation.

I have a 95 that is an h23 and was originally an automatic, and there are 2 blue plugs behind the radio. If you cannot find them, I would suggest taking the radio out and looking through the center...
