Re: Question about 1991 Accord EX Issue

Yea, if the main relay fouls, the fuel and the spark go away, so its a sure way for those symptoms to happen.

Engine miss

My car misses a little bit when its still cold at idle. Like when I'm warming it up to drive home after work. Like the engine will be smooth, then its like it skips. Similar to a heart palpitation. A...

Re: 94 Honda Accord EX (5th Gen) Engine Mount Problem?

You should just be able to go to the local parts store and have them order them for you. I would check out rockauto as well. They have never failed me.

Re: What oil do you swear by for your accord?

I'd just change the gasket that is causing the leak. Thanks for the heads up. I usually just put whatever 5w30 in my car because I change it every 3000 miles. It doesn't get below 20 degrees here in...

Re: 1989 accord dx heater problem

you should check your coolant levels first and make sure its full and properly bled. I thought that you would have already checked for that though.

Re: 1989 accord dx heater problem

well the only thing i can think of is that it has to be either your control cable, or the heater control valve. The valve keeps coming open and closed for some reason when its not supposed to because...

Re: Heat

does that switch go back and forth when you turn the dial inside your car? if not, then you need to replace that. Its called the Heater Control Valve. Costs about $40 new, or $10 at a junk yard.

Re: Heat

Sounds like you have a clog somewhere, maybe multiple clogs. try moving the heater control valve switch in the engine compartment. its near the firewall behind the left side of the throttle body

Re: 92 Honda Accord shakes only when accelerating

you can tell if they are bad by turning your wheels, then grip on to one and try to shake it. If there is any play then you have a bad axle.

Re: heater stuck on hot

No problem, don't get me wrong though. It could be the cable, and then you have a much larger problem on your hands, mostly because taking off your dash to get to it takes alot of patience. Just make...

Re: heater stuck on hot

check your heater control valve. There is a cord that hooked into it near the middle firewall. you should be able to move that switch back and forth. If you can't then you need a new HCV.

Re: Purchasing a 1998 Accord Sedan EX

I would stick with a manual transmission if you are going to buy a used car. You don't know if the people took care of it.
