ok iv had it fixed....new intake manifold gasket..and the water pipe underneath it that goes to the oil cooler was torn and that was throwing presusraized water under the intake mani which i guess...

iv upgraded these onto my 96 dc2...

however i used civic mb8 calipers and tried using them with prelude bb1 discs...a few mm needs to be milled off the carrier to make em fit..

i put a new dizzy on.even tho i didnt need to.and im not getting any misfire codes anyway.the car doesnt throw any codes.

...its obd2.

i jsut turned the car off and could hear water/steam...

i havnt checked the valva lash just yet. it has something to do with water.

i pulled out plug 1 and it has a light brown colour....theres defo water in the mixture.

inlet manifold has a water...

wouldnt an oil leak be permanant tho? the seals r ok.the car does eat oil but i cnt say how much.....i top it up a litre every month but more sometimes after hard driving.and i drive hard often! lol....

but my problem is intermittent. sometimes the car runs...

compression was more or less 170 all the way across. the camshafts ensor is in the dizyz i changed it...them codes were due to a bad dizzy.

the way i did the compression was fit the tester...

i replaced the injector with 1 from a junkyard....exact same problem...so im assuming the old injector was working fine too

i think i need 2 go test drive 1.il be going this week or next.its not that im really scared...its just i know myself too well and will probs end up pushing the car to its limits on the streets which...

iv been looking to buy an s2000 and been reading the reviews.i like the car.but iv heard alot about them being 'tail happy' and 'randomly spinning out'.

plus id be gettin an ap1,lol..the 'worse'...

iv been a long time eg9 fann..(hence the screen name,lol)....i have a low rider with the b16a...as an enthusiast i would love to keep my eg....but in a modern world owning a s2000 is the way...

stock bore on a b16a is 81mm....if i increase the bore to 81.5 all i have to change is the pistons to 81.5 right? and nothing else?

and also, am i right in thinkin...that PSI doesnt really matter,...

b18c1 and spec r are different...spec r is rated at higher hp and has slightly better internals...you can check wikipedia.

its all about $$$$$,the more you have...the more of a better swap you can have..personally...a turbo'd b16 for me is perfect.u wanna quicker times on the strips then u have to put more money into...
