trans. problems 93 accord

New to site
When the car is in park the D4 light is on. When I put the shifter into D4 the car will drive, but the gear will not change. After traveling about a 1/2 mile the gears start to function...

Maybe the belt is loose or needs replacement.

compressor
expanion valve (under glove box)
drier
