Use Google to determine what aftermarket cat works for the LX and is CARB approved.

I got a Magnaflow last September for smog. I'm quite surprised that they make a bolt on for the lx but not the ex.

Buy the del slo and swap motors. The ease of the swap increases when you have a complete chassis to take parts off of. You'd probably be able to recoup most or all of the cost parting out the rest...

There might be some plastic bushings to replace. Do you have FSM? Are you sure the brackets on the seats are for an eg?

The k24 out of the crv and the element are the light truck k-series motors that can't be swapped into a car.

Hondabond goes on the corners where the seal goes under the crank. Tighten in a crisscross pattern and in multiple intervals to get an even seal. 8.7 foot pounds

There are little metal grommets in some of the holes in the gasket. Make sure the old ones come off before you install the new gasket or you'll run into leaks with the new gasket.
