Mine did that a few weeks back & it got really bad after a few days. I had the shift solenoids replaced about a week ago and everything is back to normal. So far.

Thank you for your responses. I had seen good will warranties go well past 7 years, but I guess they draw the line at 9.

I used 2 guage cable to a regular battery (1,000 cranking amp) in the trunk of my last car ('91 Civic) and it worked well, although my voltage dropped a very slight amount.

I used a cheap battery...

Wheels out of balance will cause that problem every time. Could have lost one of the wheel weights.

Hopefully it's something simple like that.

I bought a '91 Civic and installed an 800 watt Alpine system in '92. I replaced the battery with a much larger one (had to place in a battery box in the trunk).

I ran the system for 10 years...

I had mine replaced at 112K miles. I asked how often I should replace it and my mechanic recommended every 100k.
