You can use a PC power supply...but the rails on those are designed to put out WAY more power than he'll ever need. Also, they have to be connected to a PC board unless you know which wires to jump...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 06 V is supposed to get around 27 MPG on the highway and 22 in the city. On one particular trip, it averaged around 30 mpg!!!

And if you pay $50 for it then you'll probably end up getting a used one and God knows what condition you might get it in even if it looks...

Ehh...didn't think of that. Forgot that most newer amps have that protection circuit.
