I plan on taking it up to the dealership later this week, but thought I would post here first, that way when I'm explaining this to someone, I might seem like I know what I'm talking about ;)

Re: Jittery and jerky acceleration when first started.

Re: Creaking Noise from front struts

Ok, got my Si back on Saturday. Both front struts have been replaced, along with both visors (warping). Now not only does my car drive smooth and quite, but also no longer pulls to the right. I'm...

Re: Jittery and jerky acceleration when first started.

Yea, same here. Normally happens in weather below 65f. Car starts at about 2K RPM, I'll either wait for it to drop to 1K RPM or the 2nd temp bar to appear before I start going.

Re: Opinions on build quality

You're going to have problems with any car of any brand. Cars break down from wear and tear. Some parts on cars are lemons. I think no matter which car I sit in, there will be something I can...

Re: Creaking Noise from front struts

So I bought my Si New in 2009. I bought it in Austin TX, but now that I recall, they said this Si was transported from Corpus Christy. For those of you who don't know, CC is located next to the...

Re: Honda Civic Visor Failure, We Need a Recall!

I just wanted to chime in on this.

Although mine haven't failed yet* (2009 Si) my driver side Visor looks like it's about to break. I also live in TX where it's been pretty hot. I also noticed...

I had an issue with my 09' Si and the clutch squeaking while decompressing it. This was about after 7K miles. I took it into the dealership, they first tried some lube, but that didn't fix it. ...

Re: day time running lights

Well before day time running lights, what were our options? Drive with lights off or drive with them on. Personally, even before my Civic, I've always drove around with my lights on. It’s somewhat...

Re: DO you guys drive in 6th gear on regular roads??

Depending on how fast you’re going air resistance can play a huge factor in burning gas.

This is why politicians were pushing for 55 MPH cap on all roads in the US when gas was $4/Gal. Thankfully...

I also think my daytime running lights are fugly. I plan on pulling that fuse 37 so I can just ride around with my corners on during the day. Currently I've been driving around with head lights and...

Re: DO you guys drive in 6th gear on regular roads??

2009 Civic Si
Personally here is how I drive my car if I'm trying to be conservative on gas.

1-10mph : 1st
11-21mph : 2nd
22-29 mph : 3rd
30-39 mph : 4th
40-48 mph : 5th
49+ mph : 6th

Re: 2009 Honda Civic-Si and Red Lining
