Re: what are you doing to your car over the winter?

I know most use pinch welds, however front of the jack point versus the rear is a different measurement, and most cars they are dented or deformed. 5” seems fairly high but depends on how tall your...

Re: what are you doing to your car over the winter?

No need, the suspension angle and height doesn’t change with tire size. If you put taller tires and lowered it to the same jack point you’d be just decreasing available travel left.

Re: what are you doing to your car over the winter?

I’m still adjusting ride heights, however the sweet spot I’m liking is 22-1/2” fender arch height for the front and 23-1/4” rear on an EK. I could easily go down to 20” and probably up to 24” in the...

Re: what are you doing to your car over the winter?

Strictly chassis/suspension things and stuff. Bushings needed to be replaced, I was tired of the Junk2 replacements failing every couple years, so I welded in collars to return to a factory bushing...

Re: B18C ITR SK2 stg2 Tuner Cams, Piston Advice

Get a different tuner if he is telling you crap like that. I've seen plenty of factory GSR motors put down 180whp with those cams and you should be pushing 200whp on an ITR motor. Either they are...

Re: Coil on Plug vs. Distributor All motor B series: Pros/Cons of each

I went with the Hondata CPR kit a little over 5 years ago when street tuning after the dyno my rotor screw backed out and grenaded the entire distributor. I then found that is a common problem with...

Re: Ccc sideskirts compared to pci

I've had the PCI side skirts for years with no issues. One side got smashed pretty bad, but I bent it back and touched it up to where most people couldn't tell it was ever destroyed.

Re: Rear bumper vents?

Years ago a friend of mine and I finally lined up. We made almost identical power and had the same chassis, once he cut out for bumper holes he picked up 2MPH in the 1/4 and would inch me out on the...

re: Is the use of a 70mm throttle body on a stock B18C5 with M22xx cams a good idea?

I noticed minimal gains going to a 70mm throttle body on a stock ITR motor. It's worth a few horsepower on a dyno but the real benefit comes from throttle response.

Re: Considering "Big Brake" Upgrade - ASR x AP Racing -vs.- ICB / RCrew Racing

The ASR "kit" can be done for less than half the price. I did it 3 years ago and was going to put it into production but slept on it. Profit margin is insane on those kits, but I understand the...

Re: Brake Expert Scam?

While I have dealt with BrakeExpert many years ago with ease, a more recent transaction a couple years ago did take longer than expected and was more shady of a deal with contact issues.

Re: Transmission oil

Likewise, but it states on Amsoil's website "not for use in vehicles with a limited slip".

Re: K-Tuned K1 Coils on my Civic EM1

With no data other than you think you can corner faster, I would say this review is lame. The fact that any setting moved means they are complete shit.

Re: Wilwood 4 piston brakes not aligned right

If you want to upgrade those to run a radial mount caliper LMK. I just completed my FNSL6R setup for half the price of FastBrakes, and I can use the AP Racing caliper setup for $500 less than ASR.

Re: Transmission oil

I can attest to the newer MTF as being garbage on a fairly low HP street driven car. I'd change the fluid and the transmission was butter smooth, 3,000 miles it would get notchy and prone to locking...

Re: 1997 ITR IACV Part Number?

I've had them fail. Also the ones from a non VTEC motor will bolt up, but have smaller ports and don't keep up as well. I've even tried porting the non VTEC to the VTEC size but they still do not...

Re: Which is Preferred For A B20VTEC Build: Skunk2 Pro1 or the Tuner 2?

GASP! Seriously though he wants mid RPM power, bigger primaries are the ticket. Tuner 2's work great on 1.8L but IMO leave a lot to be desired on a larger displacement motor. I'll be real though,...

Is your compression ratio greater than or equal to 12:1? Run Pro2's.

Re: Best Intake for ITR

Toda header, 3" exhaust, 3" Comptech intake, ID1000's, tuned on an S300 I made 197whp. Very basic setup but it seemed the ID1000's gave me a 5whp edge over just about everyone with the same mods,...

re: Can a Sleeved 86mm B Series Engine Be Used As A Daily Driver?

Such silly arguments here children. A K24A2 even with bolt ons and a tune will typically make more power all motor than a built B series because it is 400cc's larger and a better designed platform. ...

Re: Brand new duralast axles, pieces of crap? Vibration when accelerating

Re: B16a2 Pr3-3 journal scoring

Based on the pictures I would consider it trash. I've seen scoring lighter than that, that I would refuse to work with.
