was about to do an oil change was gonna use some Castro high mileage. green bottle would that be good?

oh and when u say valve tap.... whats the valve tapping against?

i finally pulled the ac belt and the compressor was the problem.

this sound was caused by an ac compressor on its way out

well atleast its drivable, but a timing belt and tensioner woulda been...

yea my car doesnt overheat either so im thinking its a bad tensioner. is the timing belt tensioner hydraulic or spring?

just need a confirmation pretty sure its one of these:


AC compressor/alternator (taking off belt to check after this)
TimingBelt/Tensioner
Input shaft bearing(dont think so because sound comes...

how did u check fuel? r ur fuel lines hooked up right? that was my problem on a mazda i owned. fuel in the lines, spark compression but the lines where switched.

sounds like when ur powersteering is low and you turn the wheel. except its constant not only when turning.

so i thought the pump was going out, but i pulled the powersteering belt and the noise...

just fixed this last week. it was a bad lca bushing. thanks for the help.

well i tried to start it without those lines. didnt start. it was turning kinda slow atleast it sounded. so i charged it up. when i tried to start it after it made a loud whining noise?

where do these hook up to i put on most but highlighted the ones that dont look right. its a b18a1 auto. just replacing the motor with an identical 1....

still havent had time to look for it or change the rotors but the noise went away. will change rotors monday.

hadgasket oil leak

so my headgasket has an oil leak near the distributor. searched a little and its pretty common.

my question is if i change the gasket do i need to machine the head and the block?

Update: got to look at the car and ask more questions. the car had a timing problem so they payed a guy to fix it he changed the timing belt and brought the car back. still idles funny. so somone...

cant feel it. sounds like its coming from the front. never torque wheels before no torque wrench. you hear it at the last 5-10 feet before u stop.

not sure if its related but i do no my rotors...

tightend the lug nuts only went about a 1/4 turn each. will c if it helped.

92 eg hatch

thumping noise when u clutch & let off the gas to slow down. especially a when stopping. not super loud but some times it gets louder.

any ideas. thanks brad

ok, this motor is an interference motor too right? hope thats all good.

im gonna try and fix the old motor. im gonna check the timing and use the new motor as a reference for the timing. thanks...
