Aaron at weirtech is who I use for the drawing aspect, and I use Laser Cutting Inc. in Michigan for all my cutting needs, very affordable and friendly.

Yes Colin, torch angle has a lot to do with it because of the way the arc is directed. There is a lot more control of the puddle with the correct torch angle

Your going to find out that the "ball drop" method works far better than actually "inserting" the filler into the weld. And yes the filler rod diameter is crutial to smooth welding characteristics....

A project of this magnitude, you never can keep track of hours, many long nights at the shop, mostly polishing and machining were the most time consuming. But it was all well worth it!
