he said its a 1.6l vtec motor, but im trying to figure out if its a z6 or y8 or a mini-me, so we can start looking at what can be the problems

what engine and what ecu?
did you buy the car with the swap in it already?

im thinking its a problem with the swap, is the ecu is blinking that means its a obd0 ecu and probably someone didnt do...

as far as i know, the pan swap is really the only way to fit other cars seats in the ef

well i need my engine rebuilt and ive been getting some pretty outrageous quotes for a rebuild a few $3k+ and a $2k+ i think thats too much, or is it????

anyway ive considered engine replacement...

short answer: YES! as long asyour car is USDM and the donor car is not an HF

informative answer: door from same seat belt configuration are interchangeable.

all 88s and 89 HF had pillar mounted...

most manuals say to use sf or sg api rating oil, from what i have read api rating oil, sf and sg had a good amount of Zddh or something like that basically its a zinc...

walmart sells, an accel brand oil SF motor oil for 88 and older cars, im guessing that it has the zinc, its like $3 a quart, i havent changed the oil in my traanny yet, it prob still what came in...

what the advantage of the hollow over the solid?

what about the HF sway bar? lighter weight but how does it affect the funtion...

you should fill the radiator up, not jus tthe reservoir, speacially if the coolant got burned/leaked out

def sounds like a head gasket prob
