Re: Need Help with PO420 Code

P0420 is not a catalyst failure code.
It is a 'below threshold efficiency' code. 'Your engine is out of tune.'
If the engine has not had tuneup in a while, valves not adjusted, MAF(if applicable)...

Re: PAA-7 vs PAA-9

If it's an F23A1 head then it's and F23A1 head. If you have measuring calipers you can always measure the valves and the cam lobe heights to verify.
Off the top of my head I don't know of the F23A4...

Re: F22 / F23 Differences

Check out the FAQ at the top of the page, there were a couple of threads on Turbo F22s.
Ash had a nice setup, think he used 4G63 pistons and modified header IIRC.

Re: Seeking Advice: Catalytic Converter Replacement for Honda Accord 2017 Sport Speci

You need to find out what the actual code is, not whatever the Autozone counter monkey description is.
If it's P0420, that is NOT a catalyst code, that is a code that states that the emissions...

Re: Hard start. No Start. Dies. Fuel?

If you jiggle the key with the ignition turned to ON do the dash lights turn off or blink? Don't turn, just pull the key UP and DOWN, push it FORWARD and BACKARDS.
With the engine running do the...

Re: oil pressure sensor - 97 Accord EX 4 cyl

^This
Sensor on the '95 looked oily, tapped the end of the carbonized boot til it cracked off as it too was oily.

Re: 2006 Civic Hybrid Immobilizer Issues.

Thanks for the response.

I understand what you are saying but even if that was the case, should the OBDII scanner be able to handshake with the PCM with the ignition Locked/OFF and no key...

Re: Lowing 1990 Honda Accord

Lowering is easy on these cars, but you will need to get a shim kit with longer bolts for the rear upper control arm, and for the front adjustable upper control arms to bring camber back.
There...

Re: Lowing 1990 Honda Accord

That is part of your rear knuckle. If when lowering the car the tire comes in contact with that, you have major issues.
The part bolted to the car is the rear upper control arm. That will need to be...

Re: Thermostat coolant pipe leak and removal advice

There are several heater core sized hoses and possible smaller vacuum hose sized hoses attached to the connection pipe.
To remove it you must remove those hoses and then the thermostat housing which...

Re: 1993 Cluster Question

AFAIK the only two differences for a given cluster is if one is MT and the other is AT. MT cluster will not have the gear selction lamps.
Look at the back of both clusters, verify the required lamps...

Re: 96 Honda accord won't upshift

Transmission functionality is greatly affected by engine tune.
Back probe TPS and look for smooth voltage change when opening throttle to WOT.
Faulty TPS will also cause CC non function.
Faulty...

Re: 2000 honda accord f23a4 ulev running issues

When was the last time the valves adjustment was checked or done? They should be checked every 30Kmiles.
Exhaust side is usually tight, this will cause a lean misfire from the valves hanging open.

Re: 91 honda accord tcu code 7

I'm assuming you retrieved a code 7.

CEL or from the S/D4 lamp?
CEL is for TPS, which is more...

Re: Auto to Triptronic Conversion

Easiest thing would be to get a whole Smatic F20B/M6HA from a SiR with wiring harness/PCM and shifter. Can't recall if any of the 97-01 Preludes used triptronic. If they did that would be the car to...

Re: no brakes!

If the MC was old/original and you floored the pedal to bleed the brakes, you most likely damaged the seals inside the MC and it will need to be rebuild or replaced.

Re: Having issues with my 2000 Honda Accord ex 4cyl automatic transmission.

On the AT cars the rear engine mount allows the powertrain to 'float' when in gear at idle. If the vacuum controls or the mount itself is messed up then the car will vibrate.
As for the...
