Re: Upgraded 12-hole injectors

The ones I have are stock flowrate. I know the company has higher flowrate styles available -- best to just check with them!

Upgraded 12-hole injectors

Hey guys,

After installing two sets of Osidetiger 12-hole fuel injectors in my Toyotas I wanted to try out their product for my 2000 CRV. They are plug & play, stock flowrates with no other...

Re: DIY How-to: Calibrating the Voltage on your TPS Sensor

Long-term update on the TPS. I replaced my original with a Blox unit around 160k in 2014. Recently (2019, 200k) I started getting shifting issues and a recurrent P0122 code which is low TPS voltage....

Re: 00 CRV - Drum Brakes Squeak, especially in Reverse

Success! I got a used hub from eBay, swapped over my brake stuff, bolted it on, and all is well. The original bearing had the slightest grain in it but not bad. I think the hub may have been tweaked...

Re: 00 CRV - Drum Brakes Squeak, especially in Reverse

Forgot to mention too -- I turned the hub without the brake drum on it and it felt smooth throughout the rotation.

Re: 00 CRV - Drum Brakes Squeak, especially in Reverse

UK-Kev -- I have not tried chamfering the brake shoes, have you done this before with success? The little tabs that sit against the backing plate do have high-temp lubricant.

Ferret -- I tried my...

Re: 00 CRV - Drum Brakes Squeak, especially in Reverse

So here I am more than 3 years later still dealing with the same weird brake issue on the CRV. And as I reread Ferret's response I am realizing that I have NOT confirmed if bearings are part of the...

Re: 2001 Honda CR-V Rear Driveshaft odd ball.

Wow, that is super weird.

Looks like you might want to try to have someone rebuild the u-joints instead of replacing it. Maybe a custom driveshaft shop could help.

Rear Lower Control Arm Bushings

I'd like to replace the rear lower control arm bushings on my 2000 CRV. From the Honda diagrams it looks like they only want to sell you the entire stamped steel arm with bushings already installed...

Re: Installed a passenger side armrest

I find whenever I drive this car I put the passenger side armrest down and use it instead of the driver side, it's just nice to spread out!

The 95-98 Honda Odyssey armrests will also fit, although...

Re: 00 CRV - Drum Brakes Squeak, especially in Reverse

Thanks for the reply. I will see what I can determine about the hub. It's tricky because its an AWD version so there is the drag of the rear driveline.

Re: 1999 CR-V 4WD/AT Problems

Check the throttle position sensor. Some of the symptoms you mentioned showed up on my 2000 when the TPS was going out.

00 CRV - Drum Brakes Squeak, especially in Reverse

I recently replaced the entire rear brake system (high-quality NAPA wheel cylinders, Beck Arnley drums and shoes) to address a squeaking issue. I'm decent at drum brakes -- I have had good luck in...

Re: 2000 CRV Shift Interlock Problem - Need Ideas

Certainly a possibility. I actually broke the old one open and noticed some "wear spots" on the resistor strip at the idle location. Should've taken a picture. I guess being a mechanical device it...

Re: 2000 CRV Shift Interlock Problem - Need Ideas

Update:

A few weeks after this episode, the CRV started to act up again. It would idle high and would not shift out of first gear until 15mph or higher. Soon after it threw a P1121 code (TPS)....

re: DIY How-to: Calibrating the Voltage on your TPS Sensor

To the author: thank you!!!

I used your writeup to adjust the TPS in my 2000 CRV. It fixed a high idle and shift interlock issue. Very good directions which gave me a lot of confidence as I jumped...

Re: 2000 CRV Shift Interlock Problem - Need Ideas

Fixed!!!

TPS adjustment is what was needed. The voltage at closed throttle was 0.50V. I adjusted to 0.48V closed and 4.50V open and adjusted throttle cable slack as per:

Re: 2000 CRV Shift Interlock Problem - Need Ideas

2000 CRV Shift Interlock Problem - Need Ideas

Hey guys,

A couple weeks ago my wife's car got stuck in park. 2000 CR-V EX, 165k. We figured out how to use the shift interlock override and have been relying on that whenever it acts up.

I...

2000 CRV Shift Flare

My 2000 CRV, A/T 4WD EX, has recently started acting up when upshifting from 2-3 sometimes. It usually happens when accelerating relatively hard and allowing the RPMs to exceed 3000.

For example,...

Thanks for jumping in! And thanks for the answer. Good to know that those wires can simply be left alone.

My friend has successfully done this update to his Civic previously. He was kind enough to...
