chances are one of your speaker wire connections are loose and touching the metal frame around the radio causing it to ground out. check your connections and make sure you solder or use crimp caps.

So i bought this car new and turbo'd it a few years later it originally had a drag gen 3 kit on it. after about 40-50k miles the turbo started to get shaft play so i pulled it and had it rebuilt....
