We ended up using pretty much what you have pictured and a valve spring compressor from sears. Did them tonight. Wasn't bad except we dropped a valve keeper and after searching for a while we decided...

Ok guys did the compression test tonight. Results:
Cylinder 1: 180
Cylinder 2: 190
Cylinder 3: 185
Cylinder 4: 190

Good/bad/ok? I don't know when I will be able to do a leak-down test but this...

Eric the car guy has a video on how to do this and i don't think you have to remove the head. I have a 93 as well and mine arent bad but they need to be done too.

well the left differential bearing is replacable and I believe thats what the problem is. Maybe I could just replace that once I get it apart, we will see.

Yea the rewiring doesn't scare me. I work at best buy in the install bay so that's the easy part...LOL. I don't wanna throw too much into it because of the high miles and the write ups I have found...
