for future reference of anyone reading the thread, replacing just the board fixed it for me, though i managed to burn out a cluster bulb in the process. the old board looks fine on visual...

Another question: if i'm only replacing the board, does it matter if i get a HR-0186 version or a HR-0187 version? (apparently there's 2 different cluster depths? i hadn't seen anything about it...

So I went and checked the codes... nothing related to the VSS or speedometer (though there is a new O2 sensor code that I didn't know about, so glad I checked).

I also found some of the threads...

Thanks for the reply, poorman212! I can't really say ALWAYS on the cruise control, but I've tested it twice while the speedometer/odometer is NOT working and cruise control works fine.

I checked...
