Re: (AzunEX)

I agree with the above, it sounds like your piston rings are fried.

You could use that "crap in a bottle" that helps restore compression but honestly you are only covering up the problem, ever...

Re: (rlim)

Gasoline will destroy a diesel engine, that's the way my Dad says it so I adopted it without noticing that I was doing so.

Example from one of his blunders at the track: "When I hooked up the 1-2...

Re: (rlim)

It's actually the other way around, diesel will actually clean a gasoline engine where gasoline will make a diesel engine come from together.

Re: gas (tempsi07)

No, diesel will NOT harm a gasoline engine, a gasoline engine with diesel in it will run like shit but it won't be harmed.

Diesel will actually clean all of the carbon and other crap out of your...

Re: (95-Accord-EX)

It would take a set of cams and a hell of a head to pull that off. Maybe even bore and stroke.

I'd have to go with Turbo on this one. It would be the easiest install in my opinion and it has...

Re: (AccordVT)

Seriously???

Why???

Just buy a 240 if you want RWD, if you want power too, buy just about any old Chevy.

Let's see, you would have to reposition the engine, create a whole new front...

Re: (KILLAB17VTEC)

It's either a loose valve or piston slap.

Then again, it could be worn out bearings in an accessory drive.

Loose valve can be easily remedied, piston slap is going to mean rebuild.

How much...

Does it go away once the engine gets good and warmed up?

Re: Erratic idle then stalls (iblaine)

If you cleaned the injectors and made SURE that the ignitor and coil are good, and that you are getting good fuel pressure, and it still won't start, then I'd check the main relay and make sure that...

Re: Sputter at low RPM's, Any Ideas? (cb7tuned)

Sounds like a vacuum leak or not enough gas upon first application of throttle, but that's usually a problem with cars that have carburetors...

Re: (Civic_4life)

Try being a little easier on the throttle, no "jackrabbit starts" or trying to race anyone.

It will go up a little but honestly that's pretty good mileage for pure city driving....

Re: (norrisboat)

I'm not sure here, as I've never had this problem in a Honda but I know that in my 'vette the motor is grounded to the frame of the door. It can be a functioning motor but if it isn't sitting on the...

Re: Driver door cannot open. (BBallz24)

It won't open by using either handle?

If so then it's the latch itself. That will be fun to replace, it will be even funner getting the door to open so you can replace said latch.

Good luck!...

Re: (newtothescene)

I'd buy a cheap yet, running car. Nothing that looks awesome just something that runs and is somewhat reliable.

Then jerk your motor, tear it down to the bare block, take the block to the machine...

Re: Q: Are the OEM metal radiators even still available from Honda ? ... (diyer)

No, if the aluminum radiator is grounded to the frame, is equipped with the sacrificial anode, and filled with the proper mix of water/coolant, you will NEVER have a problem with it.

Ok, on to...

Re: (YeuEmMaiMai)

My '91 Accord had plastic tanks on it's ORIGINAL radiator.

Same with the '92, original radiator in it as well.

Re: 93 accord - Engine stalls at stop with 1/4 or less gas in tank (jason_home)

Oh wow, I completely missed that you HAVEN'T replaced the fuel pump.

Yeah, it's probably the pump, I'd go ahead and replace it when I replaced the tank.

I'm not 100% on fuel injection and line...

Re: 93 accord - Engine stalls at stop with 1/4 or less gas in tank (jason_home)

On fuel injected cars the fuel system MUST reach the appropriate pressure, thus the reason why when you get to the gas station and you loosen the filler cap you hear that hissing. You don't hear...

Re: Q: Are the OEM metal radiators even still available from Honda ? ... (diyer)

I understand your apprehensiveness about a radiator with plastic tanks.

I tend to not mess with something that is a good design, my pistol is predominantly plastic, intake manifolds for the 350 HP...

Re: Wierd Overheating Issue (oliver_honda)

Wow, I've never heard of this problem before.

I'd have to guess water pump, it's the only thing that would be RPM dependent, and also the only thing you haven't replaced.

I'm just guessing here...

Re: lil help with my 96 honda accord ex. (nickoz)

Yeah, don't remove those bolts, they won't help.

I'm surprised that it hasn't come loose yet, you are turning it the correct way right?

Re: Got This Car With Many Problems... Need Help Please (KanzenTaichou)

2.) Pull your spark plug wire off the spark plug, if there is oil on the end of it then you've found...

You aren't going to want to hear this, I got to thinking about this problem today and that's what my '91 EX did right before the distributor took a crap.

If cleaning the injectors doesn't fix it,...

Re: lil help with my 96 honda accord ex. (02 accord)

I agree with the above.

Make sure that you've bent the side of the nut back out where it was center-punched.

I use PB Blaster instead of WD-40, it is a lot better. It WILL come loose, if you...

Re: 93 honda accord idles to low (1990AccordBoy)

old engine mounts will not change how your engine idles.

What trim package is this car, DX, LX, or EX?

It sounds like a vacuum leak or an out-of-adjustment throttle body.

The good news is...
