I managed to pull it out and open it up. The capacitors look perfectly fine and there's no apparent leakage or damage to the circuit board, so I guess it's probably not the ICU that's causing the...

Update: I replaced the cable (I think the official name is the AT selector cable) and everything works great now. I'm glad it wasn't a problem with the transmission! The old cable feels like it has...
