Re: Gas pedal not delivering consistent power - 93 Accord EX auto

Thanks - I'm not running into any other engine problems, so I'll check it out. Is there anything in particular I should look for with a visual inspection?

Gas pedal not delivering consistent power - 93 Accord EX auto

Yesterday, I started having a new problem with my car (93 Accord EX automatic). When accelerating slowly (for normal city driving) I would slowly increase the pressure on the gas pedal. Instead of...

Re: (wch)

Well, I checked again from above (still no place to jack it up and get under). I was able to fit a little inspection mirror down there to see a bit better.

I was able to see that the engine oil...

Re: (TheMuffinMan)

I'll give it a shot. I just have to find a place where I can raise up the car and get under there to clean it up....

93 Accord EX oil leak... somewhere

Hi all -

I've got an oil leak in my 1993 Accord EX. I noticed it because when I drive around it smells like burning oil, and today I saw a little bit of smoke coming out from under the hood. Bad...

Looks OK

I managed to pull it out and open it up. The capacitors look perfectly fine and there's no apparent leakage or damage to the circuit board, so I guess it's probably not the ICU that's causing the...

Clicking after valve adjustment

I recently got a 93 EX Accord with 140k miles as a hand-me-down, and a couple months ago I did a valve adjustment on it. The clearance was way too small; instead of .010" (intake) and .012"...

Re: How do you remove the ICU? (GhostAccord)

Great pictures -- thanks! I wasn't able to get it out just now but hopefully I'll be able to pull it out and inspect it over the weekend.

How do you remove the ICU?

I've got a 1993 Accord EX, and my wipers don't reliably do intermittent mode, so I wanted to inspect the capacitors on my ICU. I've read that bad/leaking capacitors can cause this problem, and if...

Re: Auto gear shift is hard to get out of park and back in (gowings)

I had this exact same problem for about a year. Then on a long road trip it got worse, and then I lost reverse, neutral, D4, and eventually D3. It turned out that the problem was the shift cable, and...

Re: 93 Accord EX automatic: only have gears 1 and 2 (hilltopgraphics)

Update: I replaced the cable (I think the official name is the AT selector cable) and everything works great now. I'm glad it wasn't a problem with the transmission! The old cable feels like it has...

93 Accord EX automatic: only have gears 1 and 2

My car has recently developed the following problem: it only goes into the first two gears. The gear selector layout is this:
P R N D4 D3 2 1

When I put it in R, N, D4, and D3, it seems to only...
