Lowering springs on stock shocks?

Would a 1.4-1.8" drop be too much on the stock shocks and blow them or will it be fine? If it will have more bounce then before that's fine, I just wanna know if I'm looking at a possible blown shock...

Is there anyway to read RPMs on an EG with a DMM?

I know using a DMM to read RPMs on a car with an external coil is pretty easy but can it also be done with these internal coil cars? Cause I can't figure out how and where to place the leads on my EG.

Re: idle bounce after ignition switch replace...

I heard that after the battery has been disconnected for so long the ECU will have to re-learn "how to idle". Is that true and if it is how long does it take?

Stock 95 EX btw.

Quick question about IACV

I can't get the hoses to disconnect from the IACV, they're basically melted to it or something (Yes, I removed the clips lol). I noticed that the gold plate under the IACV where the hoses run to is...

Re: Is it possible I fried my ECU, IACV, or something else....?

Yeah true not exactly what I wanted to hear but you were right on about the problem going away on it's own. At first the idle would bounce at every single stop, then it started only doing it every...

Is it possible I fried my ECU, IACV, or something else....?

I was detaching a battery cable and accidentally connected the two battery terminals through the socket wrench (Damn 6'' extension), it was also still connected to both the car cables when the sparks...

Re: Z6 VTEC Solenoid questions...

Hmm...maybe I'll pull the solenoid off and give the screen a cleaning. Found out VTEC wasn't engaging cause it looks like I have a leaking Rear Main and the oil was a bit low, so I added and now it...

Re: Does anyone keep their windshield washer system and cruise control question?

Decided to remove washers, one of the lines were broken anyway and the container was dirty as **** inside + empty. Windshield washers aren't a requirement by law right? Just windshield wipers?...in...

Does anyone keep their windshield washer system and cruise control question?

Personally I never use mine and all I see is a completely useless system and a really ugly tank when I pop the hood so I was thinking about removing the whole thing, except the nozzles on the hood....

Problem with 5-speed Back-up light switch

Re: Question for those with an EG/EK and kept your D16Z6 or D16Y8 and built it up.

Yeah I thought about the turbo and I'm still debating on it and researching my best options right now as far as those go. At first I was thinking about going N/A but I've learned in the past few...

Question for those with an EG/EK and kept your D16Z6 or D16Y8 and built it up.

Would you say it was worth it?
I got a 5-speed EX (D16Z6) and was planning on building it up, it has a few minor mods and for the first time I did a little drag for fun (on private property away...

Question about D16Z6 tranny and how to get new tranny fluid in.

Just some food for thought I'm having before I get to bed and it's buggin me.

Ok so it seems like the 2 most popular ways on here is through the VSS or the filler bolt (obviously). Now what about...

Re: If you have a D16Z6, what's your idle speed?

Alright I'll try adjusting the idle a little and see if the vibration cuts back a bit, but when it has a bouncing idle that can't be normal, even with the charging system under more load. It didn't...

If you have a D16Z6, what's your idle speed?

On a relatively stock D16Z6, I see a lot of threads that talk about the 800rpm range for idling once warm and mine idles at 500rpm. Reason I bring this up is when I have the headlights on after the...

Re: Need help, 95 ex no start after tranny/flywheel job...

Got around to double checking the grounds. The tranny ground wasn't too great so I sanded down the metal a bit and cleaned it up. Solved the problem.

Only thing I didn't solve was that the starter...
