15's at light throttle is fine. Think about it; while in fuel cut, AFR's can be as lean as 17 - 18 without hurting an engine. High load + lean fuel mixtures = destruction.

that's just a bandaid for someone who doesn't know how to tune idle. many people can tune WOT...thats the easy part. It's idle and everywhere else below WOT that's the hard part.

to figure out if it's a wideband problem or not, while watching the wideband, pull fuel out of the idle cells until it either dies or leans out. If it dies but still shows 7.3 you know it's too lean...

lol, yeah I was. I just couldn't figure out why when running the EXACT same numbers as the stock ECU I was getting detonation, that's what I was so confused about...but it had nothing to do w/base...

Ok. So I figured out what was wrong. For some reason my ignition phasing was way off. The ignition sync teeth option was set to 5.5 for some reason, it actually needs to be .301 apparently. Anyway,...

There isn't a way to lock the ignition timing with the stock ECU that I know of. Whatever it's at is what its at (since the distributor is unmovable) I'm still confused as to how the base timing...
