Re: Continued Del Sol Issues

1: Does it make any noise while shaking? This could be anything from bad wheel bearings, busted tie rod ends, ball joints, warped rotors, warped/bent rim. All sorts of things. Essentially...

Re: Airmass header question.

Meh.. I like my airmass header. I just swapped it in for an old DC 4-1 design. But the bottom 2 runners were more than half way caved in from the PO having the frame rails on the ground. I'm...

Re: How do i safely remove my a/c system?

Legally to purge the lines.. you have to take it a certified place and have the evac the r134 and then you can safely pull the system apart without issue.

The cheap way is stick a phillips head...

Pulsating brake pedal

After quite a bit of replacing worn parts in my Sol over this weekend, I finally got everything back together and now I have a nasty pulsating in my brake pedal. I know the normal causes are warped...

Re: Hub nut locked on like a MOOOOOTHER!!!!!

1.. Go to sears and replace the shit that broke.

I just pulled mine off yesterday. Stuck an old sway bar in between the lug nuts, used a 1/2" breaker and a long F-in pipe (~4 ft) on the end, it...

Re: Will any other civic alternator fit into a 7th gen?

I could be wrong here.. But I believe the f20c spins the opposite direction. I'm not entirely sure if that would matter in a new alternator, but a used one will certainly have issues as the wear...

Re: Avg top speed?

1.. that is incredibly unsafe.
2.. you need more power to go any faster
3.. top speed is pointless unless you are doing HPDE events
4.. acceleration is much more fun, get a turbo
5.. UNSAFE,...

Re: There she blows (headgasket failure x2)

Whoa whoa.. first off.... has it been overheating? Or just pushing coolant? Coolant push is just from the boost and a bad HG seal. Overheating, you need to resurface the head. I replaced two...

Re: D17a2 TURBO BUILD. HELP!!!

Oh dear lord. K-pro is the best option. AEM EMS is difficult to use but works just fine. I used AEM F/iC with pretty good success, but I'm one of the few from what I've gathered. If you use a...

Re: 93 Del Sol: CC refuses to function

Well.. I did some more checking and I'm still stumped. The connections at the clock spring checked out as well. Where are all the wiring genius guys out there?

Re: 93 Del Sol: CC refuses to function

Both switches are there and both fully depress when they are supposed to. I found that to be a common problem in some other thread.

93 Del Sol: CC refuses to function

I recently purchased a 93 del sol with a b16a swap. The PO swapped the steering wheel for some non-oem wheel. In the process he removed the cruise control switch and the clock spring. I've...

Re: civic rear deck: you've got to be kidding

Nope.. door panels aren't necessary.. at least in a coupe. Just the rear panels. Basically everything behind the driver seat.

Re: civic rear deck: you've got to be kidding

Lol.. that was mostly rhetorical.. but I did try and get it out without taking all the panels out first. I nearly destroyed 3 of the panel in the process. It also ended up taking twice as long.

Re: civic rear deck: you've got to be kidding

It's really not that difficult, just time consuming. And if you don't do it all in that order, you will jack something up (ask me how I know)...

Re: D17 turbo + Internals- How much boost?

Where did you get this terrible bit of information? The stock intake manifold, while not ideal, works just fine and has been confirmed to hold at least 22 psi.

Re: D17 turbo + Internals- How much boost?

Ok.. safe means you stick to 6 or 7 psi until you get k-pro.. period. You don't NEED k-pro before you start boosting, AEM F/iC or PCS will work fine, emanage is junk and costs about the same as AEM...

Re: D17 turbo + Internals- How much boost?

Tell me why exactly you think I'm joking... At 10 psi the map sensor freaks out. If you are using k-pro or using a piggy back, the map sensor will not work past 10 psi. And I don't care what motor...

Re: 01 Civic LX Immobilizer Chip Removal

Ok.. here ya go mr. engineer. The d17 ecu has never been cracked. There are no chips available like the older ECU's.. there is no reflash. There are no mods for this ecu. It takes years of...

Re: D17 turbo + Internals- How much boost?

It does actually matter on a 7th gen. The stock map sensor can't see past 10 psi.. max. Whether it's on a t25 or a gt35 doesn't matter.. the map sensor will freak out at 10 psi either way. It also...

Re: D17 turbo + Internals- How much boost?

With VAFC you can run... a total of... 0 psi safely. If you don't want that nice motor of yours to get toasted as soon as you add a turbo, wait until you can afford k-pro. VAFC is virtually useless.
