Re: "New" 2004 MDX with a few small problems.

Is there any way to find out what the code is for without going to the dealer and paying the $112 they want just to check? My manual from HelmInc.com should arrive today to tell me what the codes are...

Re: CR-V dilemma. To buy or not to buy???

That is a lot of extra miles, more than a couple of years more. The 5-Speed would be nice, but that's about the only thing I can see that is better. Black will be much hotter in the Summer than the...

Re: "New" 2004 MDX with a few small problems.

I tested the sensor and it checked-out okay. There was some water in it, but I dried it out before reinstalling it. I did find on AcuraMDX.org, a procedure to adjust the correction + or - 5° and...

2004 MDX Engine Oil Capacity?

I have just ordered the service manual for my "new" 2004 MDX. It should arrive in about 10 days. The owner's manual I ordered should arrive at the same time. I drove it almost 1500 miles from Florida...

"New" 2004 MDX with a few small problems.

Ok, I just got back from Florida yesterday with my "new" 2004 MDX. I am liking it really well, but am having a few small problems.

The first is that the temperature sensor is reading 2,097°F for...

Icon2 Is there a way to tell if the odometer has been rolled-back?

I am considering buying a ~2004 Acura MDX as we have another kid on the way and will require more space soon. I have been looking on Auto Trader at some, and a few seem to have odd mileage. For...

Re: (TrackSol)

Other places I have lived, we would have to relocate almost every time because too many people showed up and the parking lot or whatever would get full. Here, it looks like it is a miracle if get 5...

Re: Looking at a Used tsx. priced right? (SilverDc2)

I forgot to mention, you can check Cars.com and AutoTrader.com for free to see if there is anything on there you want too. I found mine listed on both sites. I hope this is helpful.

Re: Looking at a Used tsx. priced right? (SilverDc2)

If it makes any difference to you, I paid $14,500 last week for my 2004 with 84,040 miles on it and in perfect shape (not even a door-ding and no rust on the brake calipers) with a 3 month warranty....

Re: Oklahoma City Meet. (Mad_Hatter_Sleeper)

I know, I am a little disappointed too. Last time we had a meetup, we went to the Auto-X, CiCi's Pizza and raced at that indoor go-kart track at NW 36th & May. It was pretty nice, but there were only...

Re: (crx(gator))

I didn't see the mileage on there, but I just got mine last week with 84,000 miles on it. Check for rust. I have seen a few rust place mentioned, mostly on the doors (look at them from the bottom)...

Re: TSX MPG..... (EdoMoto)

I have had my '04 TSX for 9 days now. On the first tank, I got 26 MPG. On this tank I drove from Dallas (where I bought it) to Oklahoma City. The guys I bought it from filled the tank with 87 octane...

It sounds good to me, just let me know a time and place, and I'll try to work it into my schedule.

Re: (jasony0630)

Ok, so it's not exactly stock. I wouldn't worry about it at all unless the same code keeps coming back. If you didn't reset your ECU, the code will still be stored until it is removed. If you get...

Re: Bad MPG - Del Sol Si *D16Z6* (cachase1)

I forgot to mention, you might also check your timing belt to make sure it is not off by a tooth. I have seen cars run ok being 1 tooth off, but get terrible mileage.

Re: Bad MPG - Del Sol Si *D16Z6* (ghostcivic7_41)

I am getting about 400 on a tank if I take it easy. I have noticed that they have recently started putting ethanol in the gas here and my mileage was suffering. I only got about 350 miles per tank. I...

Re: heating up 96 ek hatch issue (o0ohaviko0o)

I vote for a bigger radiator. It's getting to the time of the year where the heat (as opposed to the cold) will affect your car in different ways. It will probably get worse as the weather gets even...

Re: (jasony0630)

That would depend on your modifications. If you have none, there might be a problem. If you have things like an intake and exhaust, I wouldn't worry about it too much. The cars are designed to run on...

Re: (jasony0630)

Try resetting the ECU first to see if the light comes back. If it does, check it to make sure it is the same code, you might have to replace the valve if it is. Sometimes, in the Prelude, I got weird...

Re: 94 civic dx starting problem (bale43kn)

If something fell off in the engine, I would say that it is the alternator tensioning bolt. Check to see if your alternator belt is tight or even on. Autozone can check your alternator to see if it...

Re: Power window chaos (LSej1)

Is there any sound at all? It could be that the window itself is in a bind. Also, be sure to check all of your connections in that system, unplug and plug them back in. Check for voltage at the motor...

Re: (NOFX)

The '96 del Sol S has a muffler only, but all of the things that would affect mileage look to be pretty new (ex. plugs, wires, oxygen sensors). I am showing between 36.33 and 41.11 MPG with about a...

Re: Oil Cap fell off & Ran dry on the dipstick, changed oil to recommended 3.8 Qts now overfilled!!

I would say that this is not a problem at all. I usually put 4 quarts in the del Sol. The book says to put in 3.5, but that's too much of a pain to deal with a half quart sitting around. It does use...
