Re: post pics of your aluminum welds...

Yea I hear ya on not really needing the gas mixes. I was still figuring out the 350, and didn't even touch the waveform settings, so my lead picked up some 75/25 mix for productivity's sake, lol. The...

Re: post pics of your aluminum welds...

Some thick wall action with a Dynasty350. 75/25 helium/argon mix really changes the weld puddle up. You can really move with this stuff, it's real fun! Figuring out the EP and EN amperages on the 350...

Re: You DIY your own crossmember/traction bar setup! post details/pics here

Made this back in 11' for my friend's 87 Prelude. Ran out of oxygen and acetylene so I cut out all the plate with a 4.5" grinder. :| Had to shorten up the radius rods a little, but they're straight,...

Re: got AC Tig!

Being able to adjust AC balance and frequency is must IMO, and even moreso understanding the theory behind it. A lot of people brush off inverter type welders as a gimick/cheat, but it's definitely a...

Love me some AL!! I need to get back in it and fire up my Dynasty when I get back to the States.
These were done with a Dynasty300 at 240amps, 120hz, 80%EN, red tungsten, 3/16" 6061, and 1/16" 6061...

Re: Miller Syncrowave 200 pro's vs con's

Get a Dynasty200 and be done. I found mine on ebay with 9hrs on it with a coolmate1 for $3500 (blue lightening model). But I'm a sucker for inverters :). And to be honest, buying a Sync never crossed...

Re: What did you add to your toolbox today?

Finally got a second hood. My Speedglas 9100xx was just too big. This one is the standard Jackson HSL100, and a gold lens. Much lighter! :) Also got a new torch head, some crafter series back caps,...

This is an inverter type welder as said before. DO NOT USE Pure (green) on an inverter type welder. Please go educate yourself on the difference between a transformer type and inverter type welder....
