1. The puddle is hard to see with all the smoke from the burning flux.
2. The amperage has 2 settings so more adjustments to the weldor have to be made...

hmmm about that spray they use for tinting head lights. My friend got some of that stuff at ultimate audio I believe. Have you tried forming it in an oven?

I always use carb cleaner for that kind of stuff. Cuts greese, rubber, and carbon.
Maybe a pressure washer or take it to a shop with a parts cleaner.

I tried it before on a piece of lexan. It takes alot of heat for lexan to to loose it memory almost to the point of bubbling. It keeps it rigidity quite well.

Chassis is stiffer the 4 door, if you like the twisties. If they are fully gutted then take it a step further and start cutting.

Problems with primer is that it absorbes oils and other road grime. You would be supprised how much oil comes off of other peoples cars when you drive.

Depends on the 2 bolt flange, some of universal ones have oval holes where the bolts are supposed to go which makes them a PITA to allign.

If you can turn it down to a lower setting and lower speed. Instead of one continous bead weld for a second or 2 and then let it cool for about a second. Have you tried a heat sink behind the metal?
