^^^^ wrong! usdm 88-91 civics used a 4-1 (or collector) style exhaust manifold (with the down pipe being a single pipe)
jdm zc sohcs used a different 4-2-1 style (using a 4-2-1 2 peice header style...

i still feel high MPG can be made (and easier) with a more powerful engine... the trick is the way you drive it.. smaller low power engines need to work harder(use more fuel) to get your car rolling...

its actually not that bad using the right tools... i re-routed my fuel lines using 5/8 aluminum hard line so both exit the firewall where the feed line exits stock.. surprisingly it wasn't too...
