I haven't heard of timing affecting something like that. Check you're tps, map sensor, transmission module, fuel pressure... Anything that would need or transmit info (voltage signals) to the ecu.

gravity bleed the whole system. Put a bottle in the master cylinder reservoir upside down and then crack all the bleeder screws and let it bleed. I haven't checked out the brake system on a odyssey...
