Re: Spark plugs in or out during timing belt tensioning

there's no right or wrong, but out is easier.

Granted, I have absolutely no clue what Honda calls for.

Re: DX MC to EX MC

Any master cylinder from either EX/SI will bolt right on. Go to any parts store and buy one.

Make sure you bench bleed the master cylinder prior to install.

Re: I am Stumped.... Crank no Start

Just because the pump primes, doesn't mean it's getting fuel. Verify fuel pressure at the rail.

If it has pressure at the rail, check voltage at the injectors.

it could be as stupid as a...

Re: Is my head done for?

These are interference engines, but it is very hit or miss if they actually make contact. I snapped a belt at 6K+ rpm and literally tossed a belt in it and went back to driving it. My buddy had a...

Re: How to get your project car going?

Organization and patience is key. Take it one step at time, and go at your pace. Don't ger pressured into hurry just for someone else, 99% of the time something will go wrong, you'll forget something...

Re: Change out rear engine mount for oem?

Not at all.

I'll get the occasional dash noise, but it's a 24 year old Honda, so I do expect certain things.

Re: Change out rear engine mount for oem?

I doubt it. If the vibrations are that bad, I would suspect the mounts are either shot, or a high durometer.

I have innovative 62A's in my b swapped civic and I don't notice much vibration,...

Re: Change out rear engine mount for oem?

that part i can't answer. However, if you are going to go back to factory rubber bushings, I would recommend putting the front torque mounts back in. those could help with some vibrations, if you...

Re: Change out rear engine mount for oem?

The mount can absolutely be replaced with a factory piece.

The rear bushing is the same for 96-00 civics.

Re: good brand recommendation for replacement Control arms and other suspension for E

Unless you are tracking the car or wanting/needing to ADD camber, I would stay with OEM style.
You CAN replace the rubber bushings in the factory arm if your careful, otherwise you'll destroy the...

Re: good brand recommendation for replacement Control arms and other suspension for E

Edit, i just re-read your post and your only looking for upper arms.

OEM if you can get them, moog is "meh" these days, IMO.

Re: Installing motor from the bottom

take the bolts out of the T bracket. It needs to be loose. if you've already tightened the top 2 mounts loosen those as well.
You will need to wiggle the bracket/engine around and it should drop in.

Re: 96 ek rear camber kit

Pretty well known issue, unfortunately.

at this point the only options are to cut the bolt(s) and remove the arm. Next, you'll need to cut an access to the welded nuts to re-weld them. (or...

Re: HID retrofit into a '94 Civic Sedan

I'm honestly kind of surprised it required trimming.

I had Morimoto H1 7.0's, and there was no trimming required.

Re: HID retrofit into a '94 Civic Sedan

On my car I mounted behind the bumper.
On other installs I always try and hide everything, often times that meant cutting/extending wires.

on the 97 ( I assume you are using a TRS relay...

Re: HID retrofit into a '94 Civic Sedan

Happy to see more guys are getting into retrofiting these cars.

I did my 98 years ago and still have only seen one other 96-00 with retrofits.

Re: how to bypass the neutral safety switch.

^ that's just dumb, and a complete waste of time/money.

there is a blue box under the dash/steering column. Unplug it and the key will come out.
