Re: Rough Idle (Did my research...still no luck)

Make sure the MAP and IAT plugs are plugged into the right sensors. Also, if you powdercoated any brackets that are used for grounding, make sure the contact points are bare and not powdercoated.

Re: Time for my H23 VTEC Build DD

Thats what I am talking about. I was wondering when you were going to go bigger. It should be an absolute beast with these new parts going in. Good luck dude. 11's are well within reach.

Re: Why does everyone around here care about horsepower?

Honestly, it's easier for me to declare a HP goal than a TQ goal. I don't quite understand the technical relationship yet. I don't know what these motors put out in terms of torque.

Re: Re Build help!

pr4

Don't bend the oil squirters. The block off kit is only, IIRC, $15-$20. I believe Golden Eagle sells it.

Re: Need help making my car go faster haha

Listen to what people are telling you. Lower the pressure in the slicks and raise your launch RPM. Without that, you won't cut better 60fts.

Re: **Official H2B Discussion thread **

Stock port head and stock block (~10.5:1 compression)? Do you think they may have been choking the setup or did you feel that they were perfect?

Re: help with ls no compression

Take out the cams and put air in the cylinders through the spark plug hole and try to see if you hear a leak. Easy way to tell if i valve is bent.

The trumpets are 52mm. Im thinking they maybe be a little too small. Anyone know if you can change them out or maybe port them to widen them up a bit?

Re: help with ls no compression

Sounds pretty shady to me. Looks like you're going to need to pull the head and see what's up.

Re: intake mani and TB on b18C5

Stock motor? What kind of power are you making right now? Do you think the intake manifold and TB are choking?

Re: 97 ek hatchback

It just won't be as easy with a GSR as it would be with a K or H. No one said it couldn't be done.

IMO, grab yourself a full b20 motor and make sure it's in tip top shape. Daily that while you...

Re: Engine swap suggestion.

If you want to go turbo eventually, I would go with a B16 swap. It's usually the cheapest b-series motor to find and handles boost very well.

Re: 99 SI TURBO TYPE R SWAP WONT REV OVER 5000 RPMS

You're revving past 5000 rpms while not being tuned? On a high compression B18cX no less?

Good luck.

Re: H22 or b16??

You really need to decide what you want to do. I'd only do a B16 if I was going to turbo it. That's my opinion.

A straight GSR swap is also a great starting platform. Hell, even a non-vtec b20...

Re: **Official H2B Discussion thread **

What does that translate into WHP? I don't remember what the average % loss of drivetrain equals to.

Your setup is similar to what I am going to start building soon.

Tell me what you think...

Re: H22 or b16??

That's a good start. But you are going to need a little more money to get everything running correctly and to get it tuned.

Re: small exhaust for my turbo crx!

Yes, if you use a small diameter exhaust your setup won't be efficient. It will produce full boost later, it will create more heat, and make less power.
