SO i picked up a percission sc61, it looks real good and the guy said it had barley any miles on it. So i removed the cold and hot housing sides and the fins are very clean and no scratches on them...

I see. Now that i did not know, i though the cylinder walls were oiled by the piston, oil ring land, it has tiny holes around it.??

Also if the slimmer bearings are sufficient for a gsr motor, why...

im using the b16 rods. im only using 1 gsr half bearing, all clearances are .0015 so its all good on the oil pressure. i dont know what your trying to say..

Ya, could you please explain, i searched the whole web, not one thing on it.

Ive taking apart a few gsr's and they had, acl std bearings in them. Not slim ones like oem. They were the normal width...

Would be safe to run one half of a gsr bearing along with one half of an b16 bearing in one Rod journal?
I know the gsr is much slimmer but still seats into place on the Rod cap. I ordered red...

Ok result with a different crank. The mains came out better, 1245 are around .0015, 3 is .0017, or .0018.

Rods, lol here we go again. With the acls, i got .001 or flatter. So i started swapping...

Oh yes i did 23ft lbs. I cannot exchange the bearing because i got them at a discount. Ah well. Im going to get a crank for pretty cheap and i will see if it works out or not. Thanks for the advice.

Bearings are expensive. If the same rod and bearing ive been using on the b16 crank, work perfectly on my gsr crank. Im sure its the crank. I will just find another b16 crank and try them out. Cannot...

Im really guessing HG. Car is been alot slower lately, and compression test shows like 150 across, 200 wet.

Ok update, so i got 4 pink bearings. I did the plastigauge , and lets just say with 1 pink and one acl, and also 2 pinks in one rod journals, the plastigauge is so smashed beyond .001. Its like .001...

I put in the order for 4 pink halves, im going to try 1 half on each rod journal and hope i get the right clearance. Good thing my friend has discount at honda, 9.81 each. With out it was 17 each.

Ok update, i replace cap, and remove thermostat. Car still over heats only on freeway after driving on it for about 10 mins. So im just going to replace the head gasket, it has to be it.

Lose radious rod where it connects to lca, happened to me many times. Always hear a pop when braking, and taking off. Check both sides.

Another thing is, after crusing the freeway at a steady pace, only certain spots the temp starts to rise. but if i rev the shit out the car for a good 5 seconds the needle drops down to normal temp...

Ya i was think head gasket too. I have ZERO leaks, the car does not even leak oil. I only smell coolant as the temp starts to rise.

Ive checked under the oil cap and never see a milk shake. Also...

91 si, with b16a, eg half rad aluminum radiator.

Heres the deal, car never over heated ever! Untill the intercooler install.. Im going turbo so i test fitted a small intercooler, and left it on....
