winter manual tranny fluid for 96 accord ex

what do you guys use in the cold winter months, shifting is a little stiff and kinda tough to get it back into first gear until its been driven for a while and warm

it is most noticeable in 2nd gear..in the lower rpms when you accelerate..the car seems to hesitate..

well i tried removing the vacuum hose to the egr valve and nothing changed..and the hesitation is intermittent so i may move on to the o2 sensor next..

so no one thinks this sounds like an egr valve? car is fine when the valve is closed..then hesistates and occasionaly has a rough idle?

sorry i didnt reply to the codes question..i havent taken the car in and dont have anything to check for fault codes with..

i dont need to be just after a shift..all i need is to be at lower rpm levels and apply throttle and the car seems to almost bog down or hesitate then it eventually gets the power.. whereas today...

I had posted about a month or so ago about how my 96 accord vtec has a slight hesitation under acceleration and received replies about replacing this and that etc..

now that its cold up here in...

this is a similar question to one posted for a 93 ive never had an accord before so i dont know if this is a characteristic of accords or if its just that the pads on my car are quite worn but there...

the egr port cleaning threads are in the FAQ ..covers most models..

thanks for the info bozok.thats exactly what i was looking for..no sense just replacing parts just because they are easily replaceable hoping to find one that solves it..id like to try and narrow...

ok perfect example..so why would a dirty air filter cause hesistantion at lower rpm and not at higher?

ok well i am handy but no mechanic..so i will pull the plugs and have to compare them to one of my bentley manuals etc..

what is IAC ?

i guess what im asking is what is causing these...

1996 accord vtec..
ive looked through the messages on here and as a result i have cleaned the egr ports and IACV (occasional rough idle at stop)

but to be honest neither really made any effect on...

well just bought a 1996 accord exr and ive never had a honda before and i dont have a technical service manual yet so.. i was wondering if anyone had any links to images on here of the engine bay...
