Re: Loud tire noise after swapping wheels

I believe the previous owner stored them is his garage on their side. I bought the car this past October when the winter tires were already on, so he just gave them to me and I did the same.

Loud tire noise after swapping wheels

Hey guys,

I recently swapped over my winter wheels for the summer ones. Following this I immediately noticed that my summer wheels have very, very loud road noise.

The tires are 205/45/16...

Re: SHG is back! Easy's EP3 goes under the knife...

What type of sound deadening mats are those? How did you know where to place them on the door panels? Or did you just kind of install them where you saw fit?

Re: D16Y7 jumpy idle after IACV cleaning. HELP!

Re: D16Y7 jumpy idle after IACV cleaning. HELP!

Unplugging the IACV connector causes the idle to drop to 1500 and almost misfire or surge quickly between 1500-1600. CEL came on after doing this.

Edit: finished bleeding the cooling system, and...

Re: D16Y7 jumpy idle after IACV cleaning. HELP!

I'm going to bleed the system tonight. I'm just wondering if it's dangerous for my engine to run it that long when the idle is surging from 2600-3000 RPMs.

No CEL codes (other than the catalytic converter one that is always on). Throttle cable is also fine.

I was reading that you should replace the IACV gasket when cleaning..other than that, I'm...

Re: D16Y7 jumpy idle after IACV cleaning. HELP!

Blocking the IACV port kills the engine, but if I block the plate and then open the throttle plate a little manually, the engine runs fine. This couldn't be an issue with the cooling system or TB...

Re: D16Y7 jumpy idle after IACV cleaning. HELP!

I haven't checked for any CEL codes (light is always on because there is no catalytic convertor- have to use a code reader to check), and have not yet tried blocking the IACV plate.

I did remove...

Why did you react so harshly to Turbo Dan's questions? He did not insinuate any accusations to you at all, and was not rude to you in even the slightest degree. He asked you a few...

Re: Ignition switch

Bump. Can't find anything on this guys. I took the panel underneath my steering wheel off and it doesn't look too bad. Do I just unplug the harness and what not? Do I have to disconnect my airbag?
