Re: What to do with my Del Sol?

Put the 20k into a short-term investment and drive the del sol until you have more knowledge about cars and what your goals are for a 20 year old vehicle, then withdraw some the money and build it. ...

Re: del sol map lights?

Yes, you can use the stock door cables but it is kind of a pain to get them to function properly on a consistent basis. I connected two small metal clips to the stock door cables to get the proper...

Re: 99 automatic civic wont go into gear

It really sounds like your tranny is kaput. From everything you've said, this was exactly what the auto tranny in my 95 sol did. The good news is that finding another probably won't cost too much....

Re: Sea foam ?

BG44K is what was recommended to me by my local Honda dealership. I didn't buy it there because I was skeptical but I've used it many times over the years and like the results.

Re: Heat wrapping headers good?

I have no idea if there is any advantage to wrapping a header other than greatly reducing the under the hood temp. I installed an Airmass ceramic header about 6yrs ago on my 95 del sol. After...

Re: Side molding adhesive or clips only...

I finally used clips and some construction adhesive. Initially, I used double-sided tape but over time I had to replace the tape and didn't want to keep redoing it.

Re: Del Sol GAS MILEAGE ISSUES (25 mpg) :( PLEASE HELP

I routinely get in the low 30mpg in my 95 S auto and I drive about 80% of the time in the city. There are times when I drop below 30mpg, but not often enough to get too concerned. When mpg starts to...

Re: Del sol heated mirrors

Nice find...since you said "I finally" found a set, it sounds as if you had your reasons for looking for them. If you do decide that they're not needed in TX, you should be able to sell them for a...

Re: del Sol Owner's Club Thread v 2.0!

If you're referring to the GTS headlight covers, good stuff. Easy to install and protect your headlights and corners well.

Re: lost only key to my sol what to do?

I agree with what others have said; going to the dealership with the registration and matching vin works best. I know from personal experience that you can call a locksmith and they can create a new...

Re: Fuel warning light didn't turn on....help!

I have a 95 del sol with a low fuel light that doesn't come on until I have around a gallon of gas left. Long ago, I had it checked at a shop because I didn't think it worked. I was literally riding...

Re: 93 1.5 Bad sputter, need your thoughts

You might try a can of BG 44K. The stuff is kind of expensive ($25) but you pour it in the gas tank and it helps clean things out. The place I take my Honda uses it and Honda dealerships recommend it.

Re: Buying new speakers. Help me out!

The best thing you can do for yourself is to go out to audio shops in your area and just listen to speakers in your price range. Even if you don't plan to buy the speakers at that shop, just listen...

Re: shoul i buy the del sol

That's a bit much for that high of mileage. My 95 daily driver has 171k miles and I'm the 3rd owner. IMO, your potential sol is not worth more than 2k.

Don't worry about negative comments about...

Re: Another Security Feature to Think About

Doesn't the Garmin GTU 10 GPS locator/tracker do the same thing? It's only 199.00 from Crutchfield.

Re: Del Sol Roof Rubber Seals

Go to your nearest dealership's parts desk and ask for Shin-Etsu grease; Honda part #08798-9013. This the best stuff to use on your seals. Take care of them because it's quite expensive to replace...

If, you planned on keeping it automatic, you can find aftermarket aluminum radiators for automatics on ebay. No, I don't know how good/bad they might be but I've seen them on there. A new stock one...

Re: Password JDM air intake?

Nice intakes, but loud as heck. I had a plastic replica of that passwordjdm intake on my auto sol and it just made a ridiculous amount of noise that far exceeded any benefit from having it. On a trip...

You're not going to find anything brighter for the aux lights. Remember, that housing is plastic and it will burn.

If you're looking for bright aux lights, you might want to think about replacing...
