Re: I Fu$%ed up my rear disk conversion PLEASE HELP

You need carbide drill bits for this one, not those cheap high temp steel ones. Also you should get some kind of cutting fluid in there, should help cut through that bolt. You really have no options...

Re: Just got a civic and I need some help

Well, first you should do a compression test. That will tell us if you got one cylinder leaking or more. And since you know you have the d15b8, we know you dont have vtec.

Re: how do you use KYB AGX Shocks

Low numbers are soft, the higher you go, the firmer they get. There is no correct setting, its all dependent upon what application your using it for. Start with lowest setting, and if you want...

Re: 99 Civic Si - lots of slop in my shifter..

Shifter bushings, you can buy new ones from honda, or you could go and buy some energy suspension shifter bushings. Either ones are good, and very easy to replace.

Re: Is This Civic Worth It?

Well looking closer, it says vtec engine, which means they must have swapped in like a d16z6 or something. I would try and find out more info on the car for sure.

Re: Is This Civic Worth It?

Id prolly offer him around $2000, it does look pretty clean. The only thing that bothers me is that they had to put a new engine in at 140,000 miles which is not many miles for a honda. Makes you...

Re: Installing rear sway bar on non factory sway bar'd eg

Well if you have aftermarket LCA, thats not an issue. They are both 13mm, but they are different part numbers. They have different curves in them. The 92-95 curves up, whereas the 99-00 has no curve.

Re: Installing rear sway bar on non factory sway bar'd eg

In order to attach a rear sway on an eg, you need the LCAs off a 4dr EX, and im pretty sure that the EM1 sway will not fit on an EG hatch, or any 92-95. You need the sway off a 92-95 EX or aftermarket

Re: Rear Sway Bar question

WRONG! You only need to change out the lca if you are adding a FRONT sway. The rear LCA are the same on all models of the 96-00 and all can accept sway bars. That being said, to add the 13mm SI or...

Re: Would like everyone to put their 2 cents in, please!

Re: Would like everyone to put their 2 cents in, please!

I would like to see some pics, to see how much of the car is actually salvageable. You would definitely be better off pulling the motor/tranny and parting out the rest if you're mechanically inclined...
